Another Road for Another Day
These days I go from place to place
And it's long enough since I saw a friendly face
Sitting here, with everyone
Laughing, playing tunes, having fun

And it's another one for the road
And another road for another day
But to catch your eye and your smile
Is enough to make it all worthwhile

Yesterday I met a man
His head was full of facts, figures and frustrations
He asked me if I'd bear his child
He bred racehorses and said he was 100% fertile

Don't know where I'm going, but I know I have to go
I've got to ramble on, got to see the world
Left my family and my friends
I hope they'll still be there for me at my journey's end

When things are good I'm a bard, a troubadour
Oh, when they're bad I'm just a lonely old woman
And it's a loveless life but I love it all the same
And it doesn't take much to take away the pain
